Some words from our Founder, Tay.
Cool Moves Club, The Name
WhERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?
The name for this studio was incredibly important to me; it needed to reflect exactly what we do inside our walls. Community lies at the core of my passion. I adore creating and nurturing communities where people from all walks of life can come together. It might sound cheesy, but witnessing individuals who might never have crossed paths otherwise, bond and interact in the same space, fills me with warmth. Connection is everything to me, and I wanted our name to embody that. That's why I chose the word "Club."
As for "Cool Moves," it perfectly encapsulates our unique blend of movement. Our classes don't fit neatly into one category; we make shapes and move our bodies in ways that blend pilates, strength training, and fusion exercises. To me, it's all about just moving, and "Cool Moves" felt like the perfect description. It's dynamic, it's exciting, and quite simply, it's coooooooool.
We call them, The Club
who are these guys?
Creating this brand, it was crucial for me to have a brand mark that perfectly represented what we do and our personality as a brand. I had this blurry vision of a bunch of illustrations, but I couldn't quite bring that vision to life on my own. Naturally, I reached out to my very talented client-turned-friend, Rosie Eddy, an incredible illustrator and designer, to help me realize my vision.
Rosie did that and more. I gave her a confusing and vague description, asking for a brand mark that encapsulated community, different shapes and sizes, and a friendly, welcoming, and warm vibe. When Rosie sent me the final files, I cried.
This group of characters, now affectionately dubbed "The Club," embodies everything we do. We’re a community coming together to move our bodies. We all look different—different ages, genders, shapes, and sizes, from various walks of life—but we come together and connect. Rosie nailed every detail of my blurry vision, right down to the imperfections and uneven lengths of the Star’s legs, our primary brand mark.
